LOWER NORTH SHORE IDOL HOSTED BY CJAS 93.5fm
CJAS 93.5 fm is hosting the First ever Lower north shore Idol on February 4th 2008!
'Now is your chance to show all of your friends that you’ve got what it takes to be the first ever LNS Idol! LNS Idol is a talent competition that is the first of it’s kind for our area. We are welcoming anyone aged 18 and over to submit two songs on tape or CD to CJAS 93.5 fm radio station in St. Augustine by no later than February 4th 2008.'
Prizes for the LNS Idol are as follows:
1st Place :
A round trip ticket to Montreal donated by Air Labrador,
$500.00 cash prize donated by various businesses,
$100.00 gift certificate from Depanneur Mckinnon,
A free overnight stay at the Riverview Inn Hotel plus a free complimentary breakfast,
A personalized LNS Idol t-shirt from Chez Cecily’s Gift Shop
2nd Place:
$200.00 cash prize donated by various businesses,
A dinner for two at Restaurant Des Soeurs (Value of $40),
A personalized LNS Idol t-shirt from Chez Cecily’s Gift Shop
3rd Place:
$100.00 cash prize donated by various businesses,
$100.00 gift certificate from St. Augustin Retail,
A gift basket from Peggy’s Salon,
A personalized LNS Idol t-shirt from Chez Cecily’s Gift Shop
This competition is welcome to anyone born and raised on the Lower North Shore or any persons residing on the Lower North Shore for a minimum of 10 years.
The rules are as follows:
1. Single entries only (no group entries or duets, prizes will not be divided)
2. Songs may be from any genre (Country, Newfoundland, Pop, Rock…etc)
3. Must be aged 18 and over
4. Anyone fitting the requirements are invited to submit an entry, but voting is strickly for residents who can pick up CJAS 93.5fm.
5. Voters may only call in once during the one hour allotted voting time. If you call in twice, your votes will be cancelled.
6. Singers may choose to submit an entry with live background music or sing with a karaoke CD, or no background music at all.
7. The 3 finalists will have to submit a new song each for the last week of the competition.
Everyone must be given a chance to call in for their favorite singer.
This talent competition has no judges, the winner will be chosen strickly by you, the voters. So don’t forget to call in for your favorite singer, if you don’t vote, there is no guarantee that your favourite artist will win! So drop off your entries to CJAS radio station in St. Augustin or send them by mail to CJAS LNS Idol, P.O. Box 100, St. Augustin Quebec, G0G 2R0.
